Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles for doors consist of an elongated lever handle on one side and a paddle-shaped handle on the other. They are designed to work with key wind locks however, they can also be fitted to split spindle multipoint door locks (though you'll need an additional dual spindle lock case).

When you are choosing a new set of lever pad door handles made of upvc, it is crucial to make sure that they match the PZ (distance between the handle spindle and the centre of the hole in the cylinder) of your existing multipoint door locks, as they need to be in the same line to allow doors to remain locked, whether from the inside or the outside. It is recommended to loosen the screws that hold your existing door handle and then examine the mechanism. If the screws aren't loose enough then you might need to loosen them more. After that, you can take the spindle from the handle and replace it with a new upvc handle. Lever/Lever
Lever door handles operate a multi point lock using the Euro Cylinder and are found on the majority of upvc double doors, aluminium doors and a few wooden doors. When the handle is in a horizontal position you can re-install the screws and tighten them until the handle remains secured to the base plate. It is also advisable to apply a threadlocking adhesive to the threads of the screw to increase the grip and prevent them from becoming loose over time.
Drooping lever door handles can be caused by various causes. The most common reason is that the fixings are too tight and the lever bearing to get tangled against the door. It could also be due to the fact that the levers are not being operated at a straight angle and this is causing compression of the latch mechanism preventing it from fully springing back into action.
Another common cause is that the sprung lever isn't functioning properly and this is usually due to the spring not being in the correct position within the backplate. To determine if the handle returns to horizontal, simply move it.
If your door handles are loose, it is crucial to find the issue quickly, since it could cause excessive wear on the screws and eventually to the handle falling off of the base plate. It is also a good idea to tighten all loose screws on a regular basis to help to stop them from loosening.
Lever/Snib
